How much Sleep do I need?

Accordingly to Dr. James Perl who has conducted a postdoctoral study of sleep and Insomnia at the University of Colorado, we can evaluate our daytime alertness and our energy level to judge the number of sleep we need.

If you feel fresh, clear mind, widely awake, alert and energetic throughout the day, you are fine and have enough sleep. But if you feel unfresh tired and irritable during the day, you probably do not have enough sleep.

If you are forcing yourself for the so called standard 8 hours of sleep but the body need only 4 or 5 hours, Dr. Perl believes that it will only create an problem when there was none to begin with.
